Open Space Committee
The Open Space Committee consists of volunteer members of the Association. The committee assists the Board by providing oversight on day-to-day maintenance and improvements of the community's common areas. Common area issues, which committee members notice or homeowners report, are sent to the Board for resolution.
The Open Space Committee works directly with the maintenance company, currently Community Landscape Services, to ensure all common areas are properly maintained. This includes providing notification of areas missed for mowing and/or weed issues, as well as ensuring that the entryway annuals are planted at the appropriate time.
The Open Space Committee also notifies the management company, currently Armstrong, to send in a litter removal crew when members or residents report litter problems in the common areas.
The accomplishments of the Open Space Committee to date include the landscaping at the Sierra Sunset and Sterling Point entrances, around the Sierra Sunset dry pond, and in other key common areas around the community.
